Greetings First Family,

I pray that you all are well and the Lord is continuing to bring comfort and peace to all.
We are in the process of preparing videos for our services (Sunday A.M, P.M. and Wednesday). We hope to be able to email these to you and to post them on Facebook. To date, we are still looking at returning April 5th, Palm Sunday, to normal activities. However, I’m sure that you have heard by now the term “Social Distancing” and an eight-week hiatus from gatherings. So what’s the plan?

First, Pray! Pray for repentance and confession of sin. Pray that God would remove the virus and that He would be exalted. Pray for healing for those who have been infected with this disease. Pray for a spirit of peace during the storm of this pandemic. Pray through this time that the church will continue to be the church and the lost would see and come into the light of Christ.

Second, Plan! As Paul wrote to Timothy, God has given us a sound mind. (2 Tim. 1:7) Don’t panic, plan. Plan for ways that God can use you during this Pandemic. Even in the midst of the storm we still want to be a witness for Christ. Plan for a situation in which we may see a lock down happen. While this is not something we want, it has been done to flatten the curve of the spread of this virus. Plan to contact your family and neighbors just to let them know how you are doing.

Third, Provide! If you are able, provide assistance to those who are most vulnerable to this virus. While we have an older membership who is susceptible to this virus, we have had people to volunteer to help these family members. If you are one of those who need assistance, please call the church office. We have people who will go to the grocery store or pick up medicine and bring it to your home. We don’t want you to take the risk of being exposed to such a horrible virus. Please let us know how we can help.

During this time, it would be good to read God’s word, pray and fast, if you can. Cry out to the Father for a global healing and removal of this virus. As you continue to be the church, we also ask that you mail your tithes to the church. It maybe that you want to get out and drive around, you would be welcome to drop off the tithes and offerings at the church. We are trying to develop ways on continuing to share God’s word with you and with the world. We still are called to a mission, Go!

If you have questions or need anything, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here for you, to pray with you and to encourage you in any situation.
